Hi, I'm Chris.

Colombian, born in the coffee region — green mountains, wax palms, and a craft culture that gets into your bones early. I traded the cordillera for Miami, and the city became the lab where I turned that instinct into a career.

Six-plus years shipping B2B fintech and consumer experiences end-to-end. Lead designer at PayCargo by day; pivoting toward AI-native product work — agent UX, generative UI, prototyping in code.

I love design the way a builder loves a workshop. Think in systems, write in two languages, ship more than I talk. Available for senior / staff product design and AI experience roles.

Lead Product Designer · PayCargo
B2B fintech for global freight. Built and shipped the design system, payments flows, and the modern web + mobile experiences used by thousands of forwarders, carriers, and ports daily.

AI-native experience design
Pivoting full-time toward agent UX, generative UI, and prototyping in code. Claude Code is my pair. Figma Make for first-pass; React for the real thing.

Designing for a global audience means writing and thinking in two languages. I do my best work close to the people the product is for.

How I work.

01
Real content, always
No Lorem ipsum. Every label, every error, every empty state is written before pixels are pushed.
02
Ship to learn
Most v1s are wrong. Behind a flag, watch the metric, then iterate. Strong opinions, loosely held.
03
Code is a design tool
Prototyping in code closes the loop between intent and reality faster than any mockup.
04
Listen first
The problem statement is 80% of the work. Frame it in one sentence before I draw anything.

Off the clock.

On the road, often

Hiking, road-tripping, getting lost on purpose. This one is Cocora Valley back home in Colombia — wax palms taller than anything I've ever designed for. Travel resets my taste and keeps the work honest: good products have to make sense far from a Figma file.

HYROX, 5am, repeat

Running, sleds, burpees, more running. HYROX is my reminder that craft compounds: pace yourself, trust the plan, the last reps are where it counts. Same engine I bring to shipping products — show up, do the work, every day.
